This place is just a few blocks from us and thought we'd finally give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised, imagine a Mexican restaurant that actually plays Mexican music instead of rock! The drinks were good, the food excellent. The service ok not great but definitely a go to place for us now.

Woo! I may say that I love this place right off the bat. (Like the whole bat not just the tip. Actually to be honest I never got that expression, so im going to say right off the meat of my taco.) Lets stretch those sea legs and swim right into this Mexican restaurant! yay! GET PUMPED! O.O (shakes the screen... whoa no more coffee past 8:30pm. [Lets make a mental note about that.]) But you should always be excited! o.o for Mexican food.
Customer Service:
Whoa Kai you're starting with customer service?? (Wheres the atmosphere, you're breaking comfortable space in this structure you call your reviews!! [And to that I may say that Angelicas deserves to be known for the exceptional customer service, and for things like that, rules are made to be broken. Even rulers! cuz they can't measure how well they made an impression on me. o.o] and don't worry ill follow it after this or not o.o I play jeebus in this structure.) For starters I wanted to watch a soccer game that was from the Liga MX and they were the first stop I made. When I came in I asked if they had the channel I needed to see the game, after a couple a minutes they apologized and said it was not available! (Sad super woodless beaver!) I left and got in my car (all the while looking for other places) When we got a friendly knock on the door and saw it was the staff saying they found it. :D (and it was very cold outside and the sweet lady (Maria I think her name was, but because she did that Miss awesome is more suiting. ) We were escorted to sit in the bar area and we got a great seat to watch the game. The fact that they turned down everything to enjoy the game was a big plus and just very friendly to do that! (o.o You guys are awesome and just really stands above when it comes to customer service.) Food service was exceptional, like little fast Mexican ninjas serving you drinks and clearing your finished plates with such grace. (The waitress would stop by periodically [in the appropriate amount of time to enjoy your meal, not like standing over you and every time you took a bite, she would say: "are you enjoying that?" and made 30 second contact. but was on point.]) Im not sure if you gave her a recent raise or she was just on fire (Not literal but that would actually bring good attraction to the restaurant.) and I could say one of the best experience I had.
Food and Drinks:
Mwuhahaha I said I was going to do atmosphere but I lied. (First rule: expect the unexpected. Second rule: I don't know it yet. lol) The food is great. I don't think I've expected the food to match the service but it did indeed filled my belly and my to go box. (So much food. lol Not a bad thing when it taste great. [Unlike when you go to other places and your left taking back food that wasn't great to begin with so you take it to your work hoping someone will swap food with you, so you won't have to throw up and cry at the same time for the second time that day from eating that meal.] The appetizer was huge but by god it was amazing. I don't think I've ever appreciated stuffed baked potato with bacon more than this place. (They literally put a ton a bacon. Not that salt size bacon but actual pieces and to that I kiss the chef by the hand. [I know they're clean due to good food handling!]) My meal was the Burrito Amigos I think but by the sweet toe of mr nutter butter these were great portion burritos. I was so full when I got done with that dish. (And at that point when I was 5 spoons away I took it like a personal challenge. haha.) The drinks... whoa o.o I may say they're the perfect combination of alcohol and big portion sizes. (This is the place where I may always come back just to have a good drink with a reasonable price. No longer will be intoxicated and feel like I got mugged. [Thats the second time I bring mugging, I hope I don't get mugged. lol *knock on wood*])
Atmosphere:
(Its here! yay! *Poodle leaps to a dance and fireworks go off*) It is indeed a Mexican restaurant. boom done. next.
Just joking. lol Angelicas is very spacious and just welcoming as a family friendly restaurant. With the right trinkets and artwork to bring it together as a well suited family restaurant. (whoa too professional. o.o Writing reviews have made me use fancy phrases. *proceeds to eat ice cream with my hands* Im classy :3) The bar is filled with wide variety with alcohol and great blend of drinks that are made creatively. Perfect bar area to watch a game with multiple tvs. (You know when you want to catch up on Mexican drama and still want to watch soccer. Goals!).Did I mention how clean it was? indeed I think I even saw Mexican version Mr. Clean here. Approved automatically. (That could be the side effect of having too much to drink.) o.o
Conclusion:
This is an exceptional restaurant and place where I saw a lot of usuals that come here a lot. You feel very welcomed here, with great portions of food and drinks. GET IN HERE!o.o yay! I love this place! -

Nice surprise on a Friday night. Went for drinks and had a great selection. Not to mention a live Mariachi band. Has a great authentic Mexican atmosphere that actually made me feel like I was there for a moment. Ordered a shrimp cocktail and michelada. Both prepared perfectly. Hostess was timely and accommodating. Overall perfect experience.

The sandwich board out front advertises 99cent tacos on Tuesdays. It's (the sign) seen better days. Well. ONLY the chicken and picadillo, which I make better at home, are on offer for a buck.
We ordered a few things, and it took forever to get our food. My guess is that they had to run down to Safeway to get some Old El Paso taco shells, cuz I'm pretty sure that's what we ate. Without a serious, Gordon Ramsey style makeover, I don't picture coming back. -

Good drinks and delicious food. Friendly staff... and did I say a deliciousssss grande veggie burrito. And from the pic you can tell my fiancé loved the crane asada nacho grande. I'll be taking the rest home... if it makes it lol. They kitchen closes at 11 but is available for a bunch of great appetizers. I'll be back I'm glad they are in the neighborhood. Thank you Naomi! Great service
